Please have a read of some of the most common questions. If your
question is not answered here and you require further information
please feel free to contact us.
How long does the DJ play for?
The standard package includes a DJ for a 5 hour period. If you require
A DJ for longer, this can be arranged. If you require a DJ for less
than 5 hours the charge will be based upon an hourly rate.
What does the package include?
The package includes a DJ for 5 hours. It includes a selection of over
5000 tracks. The DJ will come with two 400W RMS speakers, amplifier, 2
intelligent club lighting consoles, a smoke machine, microphone and
mixing equipment, all standard in our package.
What sort of lighting does DJ Solutions use?
We use proper intelligent club lighting. We do not use regular chasers
and traffic light style boxes which most other companies use. We have
invested more in our lighting because it helps create a real party vibe
and a great party atmosphere. We also include a smoke machine
for free so that you can get the best effect from the lighting. Please

What music does DJ Solutions have on offer?
We have a mix of music ranging from the 50’s, 60’s,
70’s, 80’s and 90’s til now. We have all
your party favorites, love songs, rock classics, rnb hits and dance
music. We stay up to date with all the latest songs. Basically,
anything you can think of we should have, and if we don’t we
will try our best to organize it for your prior to your function.
Can we pre select songs and make requests on the night?
Yes, if you would like to pre select songs before the event this is
welcome. We will provide you with a track list where you can select
your songs and hand it to the DJ on the night. All DJ’s are
open to guests requests on the night.
Am I assured the DJ will turn up?
You concerns should be put at ease with our excellent track record. We
have not yet disappointed a client by not showing up on the night. We
have standby DJ’s in place which are on call just in case an
emergency arises and the original DJ cannot make it.
What measures do you have in place to ensure the
function goes as planned without any problems?
Apart from having stand by DJ’s available, we also have spare
sets of equipment in case of the unlikely circumstance that a piece of
equipment plays up.
Will the DJ be in touch with our crowd?
At DJ Solutions we try our best to match you with the most appropriate
DJ for your guests. For example, we will send a younger DJ to functions
such as 18th’s, 21st’s, school discos and school
formals because they will tend to be more in touch with what this age
group likes. We will send more mature minded DJ’s to events
such as weddings.
What attire does the DJ come in?
The DJ’s will dress in appropriate attire for the function.
For example, for weddings the DJ will come in black pants, black shoes,
a white collared business shirt and tie. For more casual functions the
DJ will dress in neat casual attire.
Does the DJ MC as well as play music?
The DJ’s are available to perform basic MC duties, such as
communicate basic announcements, messages and shout out’s,
however if you require more than this you will need to speak to us
about organizing a professional MC on the night
How far in advance do we have to book a DJ?
This depends on availability. The more notice we have the better,
however if you require a DJ at short notice please feel free to contact
us and we will try our best to look after you.
How do we pay DJ Solutions?
Payment is usually cash on the night. However, if you would like to pre
pay, direct account deposit or money order is fine. If you wish to pay
by cheque, the full amount needs to be paid a week prior. Cheques are
not accepted on the night.
Do we receive an invoice from DJ Solutions?
If you would like an invoice please let us know and we will arrange for
this to be sent out a few days after the function.
Can we extend our time on the night?
Yes, all DJ’s are available to play overtime of up to 3
hours. The rate is on an hourly basis and will need to be paid to the
DJ on the night before the overtime begins.
Can we supply our own music to the DJ?
Yes, if you have your own CD’s which you would like to use,
please hand these to the DJ. Please note however that the equipment
does not read MP3 format.
Can you supply extra equipment and bigger packages if
needed?
Yes, we can provide more lighting, disco balls, bigger sound systems,
spotlights, lasers, dance party and school disco set up’s,
bubble machines, etc. We have access to pretty much any type of
equipment you need. If you have special requirements please contact us.
